The Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism is a subdivision of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas. The Department of Journalism is located in Kimpel Hall just north of the Walton College of Business.[1] The college is named for Walter John Lemke, who founded the Department of Journalism at the University in 1928. It was renamed in his honor posthumously in 1988.[2]
The undergraduate program has three foci: Editorial/News Sequence, Broadcast Radio & TV Sequence, and Advertising & Public Relations Sequence.[3]
The Department of Journalism also produces UATV, the University's student-run television network, The Arkansas Traveler, the University's student newspaper, KXUA student radio, and The Razorback, the University's yearbook.[1]
